English Language Proficiency: Applicants appointed to direct patient care positions must be proficient in spoken and written English. Experience: Some experience equivalent to that of an MSA; OR Education: High school diploma with desire for some post high school education; May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfathering Provision as described in the VA Qualification Standard for this occupation (only applicable to current VHA employees who are in this occupation and meet the criteria). Grade Determinations: Must possess one (1) full year (52 weeks) of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05). Preferred Experience: Strong background in scheduling and a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology. The actual grade at which an applicant may be selected for this vacancy is in the range of GS-3 to GS-5.
