About the role

We’re a global team of over 400 people, working together to push the boundaries of open-source technology and multi-cloud solutions. Our vision is to help developers, builders, and creators bring their ideas to life with speed and simplicity, by providing a cloud data platform that makes open-source databases, search, streaming, and application infrastructure easily accessible to everyone.

The Role

Do you find the month-end close and revenue accounting exciting? Then keep reading. What we’re offering is a full ownership role. The consolidated financials, the audit relationship, the revenue recognition policy – they all sit with you. You are the standard-setter.

Lead the monthly close and IFRS reporting cycle: Drive the month- and quarterly-end close process, including preparation and review of IFRS-specific entries, with supporting variance analysis and clear commentary. You keep the process tight and the output right.

Own revenue accounting and controlling: Ensure revenue is recognised accurately and consistently under IFRS 15 across Aiven's product portfolio, maintain the revenue recognition policy, review contract terms for accounting implications, and own the deferred revenue reconciliation. You are the control point between what the business books and what the financials show.

Be the primary counterpart for external audit: Own the audit relationship from planning through completion. You coordinate, you prepare, you review, and you resolve. Audit findings do not linger.

Navigate tax at group level: Own the financial statement representati
