We care deeply about building great systems, hiring exceptional people, and creating leverage for the entrepreneurs who rely on us.</p> <p><strong>The Role&nbsp; </strong>We’re looking for an Indirect Tax Senior Manager to partner closely with the business and ensure Whop’s compliance across sales &amp; use tax, VAT, and other indirect or transactional tax obligations as the company grows in scale, complexity, and global reach.</p> <p>This role reports directly to the Director of Tax and supports the execution and scaling of Whop’s global indirect tax strategy. As an early member of the tax team, you will play a key role in shaping how Whop approaches indirect taxation across products, jurisdictions, and emerging business models.</p> <p>You will work closely with the Director of Tax to define and operationalize tax strategy for product launches and iterations, stay current on U.S. and global indirect tax developments, perform nexus and exposure analysis, support registrations, evaluate product and service taxability, advise on marketplace facilitator rules, and navigate evolving digital services and transaction tax regimes.</p> <p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Own indirect tax compliance</strong><strong><br></strong>Ensure accurate compliance across all relevant jurisdictions, including U.S. sales &amp; use tax and international VAT regimes. This includes managing nexus analysis, registrations, filings, and reconciliations, while staying ahead of regulatory changes and evolving product and service taxability rules.&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Partner with Engineering on tax systems</strong><strong><br></strong>Collaborate with Engineering to design, implement, and optimize indirect tax automation, data flows, and reporting infrastructure.</li> <li><strong>Support international expansion</strong><strong><br></strong>Advise on indirect tax implications of entering new markets, including OSS, IOSS, DST, and other emerging or similar regimes, ensuring compliant and scalable expansion into new jurisdictions.</li> <li><strong>Manage audits and cont
