About the role

<p>The <strong>Group Accounting Manager </strong>will play a key role within the Group Finance function, support internal and external reporting under IFRS and to provide technical accounting leadership to the wider group finance and senior leadership teams. </p> <p>Reporting to the Head of Group Accounting and working closely with, FP&A, Tax and Treasury, and external advisors, the successful candidate will provide technical accounting guidance across the business, support a range of Group finance and technical accounting projects, and contribute to the delivery of the Group’s external financial reporting and Annual Report process.</p> <p>This position is based in Dublin, Ireland. You must be willing to come into the office at least three days/week.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Role Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Preparation of group annual reports under IFRS.</li> <li>Preparation of monthly consolidated group management information.</li> <li>Provide technical accounting and regulatory guidance (IFRS) to internal customers and stakeholders on key accounting issues impacting the business. </li> <li>Perform a key role in assessing the impact of any new accounting standards/regulatory changes and related implementation.</li> <li>Proficient in operating in and leading a strong SOX control environment and providing guidance and direction to the wider group finance team for continuous improvement.</li> <li>Collaborate with internal customers and stakeholders to develop & continually improve processes & systems for both external and internal financial reporting.</li> <li>Work with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement group strategy and projects (legal, tax, treasury, IT, finance).</li> <li>Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and the related audit process.</li> <li>Coach and mentor junior members of the group accounting team.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Bring to the Role</strong></p> <ul> <li>Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA), preferably trained within a Big 4 or Top 10 accounting practice environment.</li> <li>+ 3 years PQE with strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience under IFRS.</li> <li>Experience working in industry for a private equity backed or multinational environment is an advantage.</li> <li>Consolidation experience preferable.</li> <li>Excellent communication and organisational skills.</li> <li>Flexibility and ability to manage multiple deliverables.</li> <li>Ability to develop cross-functional relationships.</li> <li>Proven ability to identify areas for improvement and best in class practice.</li> <li&
