The Opportunity<br><br>We are looking for a collaborative and relationship-oriented Supply Quality Engineer who excels at building strong partnerships and maintaining clear, effective communication with suppliers. This role requires solid expertise in high-voltage products, supported by a steady technical foundation and hands-on experience in quality assurance and prolem-solving within this field.<br><br>This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering, sustainability, and operational excel-lence. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with category teams, buyers, Q&OPEX, HSE, R&D, and suppliers to ensure world-class quality and compliance.<br><br>How you’ll make an impact<br><br> Support the Procurement HUB and Factory Team in maintaining a qualified supplier base and ensuring compliance with the Hitachi Energy Supplier Code of Conduct, including ethics, governance, and sustaina-bility requirements.<br> Execute part qualifications (PPAP) according to defined standards, ensuring suppliers meet requirements and validating results together with the Quality Organization.<br> Drive continuous improvement of PPAP standards by supporting Engineering and Product Care in develop-ing updated delivery and testing instructions.<br> Perform supplier assessments and audits, ensuring timely and effective closure of non-conformances.<br> Monitor supplier performance (OQD) and lead issue resolution through Supplier Non-Conformance Man-agement, including regular supplier engagement and visits.<br> Take ownership of urgent supply issues and support claims handling in coordination with buyers when supplier-related root causes are identified. <br><br>Your background <br><br> Solid background in mechanical or electrical engineering, with experience in supplier quality management, including audits and assessments.<br> Familiarity with supplier qualification processes and standards, particularly PPAP.<br> Good understanding of procurement and supply chain operations in a manufacturing or industrial environ-ment.<br> Knowledge of corporate governance, sustainability, and ethical compliance frameworks (e.g., Supplier Code of Conduct).<br> Solid collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and lead supplier-related issue resolu-tion.<br> Proven problem-solving capabilities in handling supplier non-conformances using structured methods (e.g., 8D).<br> Experience in monitoring supplier performance using KPIs and driving performance improvements.<br> Willingness to travel regularly (approx. 40%) within Sweden and Europe; Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt), SPC, P-FMEA knowledge, and fluency in Swedish and English are a plus.<br><br>What we offer <br><br> Collective agreement<br> Flexible working hours<br> Health care and wellness allowance<br> Fantastic career possibilities within Hitachi Energy both within Sweden and globally<br> Mentor to support you throughout the onboarding phase<br> Various training and education supporting employee development<br> Diversified company with over 70+ nationalities working in Sweden<br> Supplementary compensation for parental leave<br> Employee Benefit Portal with thousands of discounts and benefits<br><br>More about us <br><br>Join Hitachi Energy and work in a team that is dedicated to creating a future where innovative digital technologies allow greater access to cleaner energy!<br><br>Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis – apply today!<br><br>Recruiting Manager Christian Ries, <a href="mailto:christian.ries@hitachienergy.com" rel="nofollow">christian.ries@hitachienergy.com</a> will answer your questions about the posi-tion.
