About the role
<p>Our partner, an innovative tech driven company, is looking for a Senior/Lead Android Developer to drive the evolution of their mobile applications.</p><p>You’ll join a mature agile team building next-generation mobile applications. As a Senior/Lead Android Developer, you will translate business requirements into robust Android solutions and work closely with product and backend teams to ensure seamless integration and technical excellence.</p>Role<ul><li>Playing a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality Android applications, translating business needs into scalable and robust mobile solutions</li><li>Taking ownership of the Android codebase, ensuring code quality, stability, security, and alignment with best practices throughout the development lifecycle</li><li>Working closely with backend teams to ensure smooth integration with APIs and distributed systems</li><li>Leveraging tools such as JIRA and Confluence to manage tasks, document technical decisions, and contribute to an efficient agile delivery process</li><li>Collaborating with product owners, designers, and other engineers to deliver performant, user-centric, and future-proof mobile applications</li><li>Coaching and mentoring team members, contributing to architectural discussions, and driving continuous improvement within the team</li></ul>
Profile<ul><li>At least 5 years of experience in Android development, with a strong focus on building scalable and high-quality mobile applications</li><li>A solid technical background, with a good understanding of software architecture, system interactions, and backend integration</li><li>Strong experience with Kotlin and modern Android development practices (e.g. MVVM, Clean Architecture, Jetpack components)</li><li>Experience working in environments with API-driven architectures and microservices, including integrating and consuming RESTful APIs</li><li>Good understanding of data handling and modelling on mobile applications</li><li>Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams</li><li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to align technical solutions with business needs and work closely with different stakeholders</li></ul>
