<p><strong>Why This Role Matters</strong><br>In this role, you will support the SWAC in designing and developing professional digital business tools and web platforms. The purpose of this position is to create a cohesive suite of applications with a common look and feel, simple and intuitive functionality, and professional aesthetics that streamline organization management, administration, and knowledge sharing. This role blends creativity and technical skill to deliver visually appealing, user-friendly interfaces that improve efficiency, accessibility, and the overall user experience.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the design and aesthetics of organizational websites, digital tools, and data sharing interfaces, establishing a consistent visual identity across platforms.</li> <li>Create intuitive, visually appealing interfaces that users can easily navigate, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free user experience.</li> <li>Conduct research into user needs, preferences, and challenges to inform design decisions.</li> <li>Plan the structure, flow, and information architecture of digital tools and knowledge management platforms.</li> <li>Translate wireframes, mockups, and requirements into functional, responsive code.</li> <li>Collaborate with government leadership, application developer, and stakeholders to define requirements and refine features.</li> <li>Ensure accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and compliance with government standards.</li> <li>Test, debug, and optimize applications to ensure performance and reliability.</li> <li>Continuously iterate and improve designs based on user feedback and analytics.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in front-end development (for example, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue).</li> <li>Experience with UX/UI design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar).</li> <li>Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and information architecture.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to design for usability, clarity, and efficiency.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li> <li>Effective communicator, able to present design concepts and decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li> <li>(Preferred) Familiarity with back-end development, APIs, and version control (e.g. Git).</li> <li>(Preferred) Experience working in government or regulated environments.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Eye for detail in typography, color, layout, and visual consistency.</li> <li>Ability to balanc
