This is a unique opportunity to shape how millions of learners engage with Duolingo, not just today, but for years to come.</p> <p>You will work <strong>hand-in-hand with the Head of Community</strong> to craft and build the community function from scratch. You’ll bring creative ideas, help define structure and best practices, and co-create a vision for what a high-impact, high-delight global community looks like at Duolingo.</p> <p>At the same time, you will <strong>own and lead the day-to-day engagement across our community channels</strong>. You’ll be the front line of how we show up with learners, moderators, superfans, and ambassadors — cultivating joy, trust, safety, and belonging through every interaction.</p> <p>You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Communications, and Customer Support to bring the community’s voice into the heart of the organization.</p> <p> </p> <h4><strong>🧠  You will...</strong></h4> <p><strong>Own and lead day-to-day community operations</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage our core community channels (e.g., Reddit, Discord) and drive daily engagement, conversation quality, and member experience</li> <li>Build and maintain strong relationships with moderators, ambassadors, and superfans</li> <li>Develop scalable processes, playbooks, and frameworks that uphold safety, trust, delight, and Duolingo’s signature tone</li> <li>Monitor community health, sentiment, and emerging risks, identifying insights and opportunities for continuous improvement</li> <li>Launch initiatives that grow participation, sentiment, and long-term community value</li> </ul> <p><strong>Own and lead day-to-day
