Legal Counsel Crypto

<p>We are looking for a legal counsel with 5-7 years of legal experience in cryptocurrency and financial regulatory and commercial agreements to join our Legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating cryptocurrency market maker and related agreements, as well as drafting internal policies and preparing registration applications. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in digital assets and possess expertise in financial regulations.</p> <p><strong>Your Core Responsibilities: </strong></p> <p>Contract Review & Negotiation:</p> <ul> <li>Advise on relevant European regulations governing cryptocurrencies, blockchain, and digital assets, as well as financial instruments and identify relevant licensing requirements.</li> <li>Draft and negotiate agreements involving, amongst others, token market making, loans, and digital asset transactions.</li> <li>Monitor legislative and policy developments in crypto regulation and provide proactive legal strategies.</li> </ul> <p>Risk Management:</p> <ul> <li>Identify potential legal risks and proactively provide solutions.</li> <li>Support global licensing applications across multiple jurisdictions.</li> <li>Advise senior business, finance, and compliance leads on relevant legal, regulatory, and commercial risks to help the team make informed risk assessments and decisions.</li> <li>Collaborate with team members (legal, compliance, finance) across regions, to identify regional legal or regulatory risks and propose potential solutions or risk mitigation actions.</li> </ul> <p><em> </em><strong>Your Skills and Experience: </strong></p> <p>Professional Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Approximately 5-7 years of relevant legal experience, at a Law Firm and/or as an In-house Legal Counsel</li> <li>Regulatory & Compliance Expertise</li> <li>Knowledge of MiCAR, MiFID and other relevant European regulations. </li> <li>Experience in commercial drafting, contract review and negotiation.</li> <li>Experience with license applications is a plus.</li> </ul> <p>Technical & Interpersonal Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Keen ability to grasp blockchain technologies, algorithmic trading, and liquidity provision.</li> <li>Solid negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.</li> <li>Proficiency in using contract lifecycle management systems or similar tools.</li> <li>Willingness to work outside standard hours if required by market or project timelines.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks with minimal supervision.</li> <li>Structured and process-orien
