For more information, visit <a href="http://aviatrix.ai" target="_blank">aviatrix.ai</a>. </p> <p><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE:</strong></p> <p>We are searching for a Staff Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join the Aviatrix Engineering Productivity (EngProd) Integration Playground team. In this role, you will own the design, build-out, and ongoing evolution of the Platform and Hybrid Scale Integration Playground — a critical environment that enables early-stage validation, scale testing, and infrastructure experimentation across the engineering organization.</p> <p>This is a high-impact, infrastructure-forward role at the intersection of platform engineering and test infrastructure. You will drive the development of scale testing capabilities that don't yet exist and establish shared playground infrastructure that the broader engineering organization depends on. You will work closely with scale automation leads and domain experts across Networking, Platform, and the Engineering Release & Test (ERT) team, and will mentor junior engineers on the team.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the Platform and Hybrid Scale Integration Playground — including infra provisioning, test tooling, and environment lifecycle management</li> <li>Build and scale hybrid scale test infrastructure to support large-scale simulation environments with thousands of simulated gateways</li> <li>Develop benchmark test suites for operations known to cause problems at scale, ensuring regressions are detected early in the release cycle</li> <li>Design and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure for scale and platform playground environments, ensuring reliability and reproducibility across releases</li> <li>Identify gaps in test coverage for scale and platform features and drive improvements through new tooling or enhanced test strategies</li> <li>Partner with cross-functional teams — including Networking, Platform, Security, and ERT — to understand domain requirements and translate them into playgrou
